Get glowing this season with the warm neutrals and golden sparkles of the Everglow Eye & Cheek Palette — our enchanting new collection of safe kids’ makeup that captures the soft light and cool brights of midwinter. Today, we’re going to use just the top row of eyeshadows to show you how to do a natural makeup look that’s the perfect balance of fall-meets-winter. It’s easy for any level and can be as natural or as shimmery as you want.
Ready to get started? Grab your brushes and let’s G-L-O-W with the prettiest Thanksgiving makeup looks. (We’ll be using this limited-edition Frosted Fronds Brush Set — how cute are the pink handles — but you can also use the dual-ended brush that comes with every Petite ‘n Pretty palette.)
STEP 1: POLAR PINK
Using the Petite Eye Shader Brush 1E or the eyeshadow side of the dual-ended brush, blend Polar Pink, a matte nudey pink, in the inner corner of the eye and just above the crease.
STEP 2: NUTMEG NUDE
Next, with the Crease Blender Brush 2E, blend Nutmeg Nude, a warm nudey brown, onto the outer corner of the eye and into the crease. The more you blend, the more natural the finished look will be!
STEP 3: FROST BRIGHT
Then, blend Frost Bright, a brilliant gold shimmer, all over the lid. A little bit of this golden goodness goes a long way — so start with just a tap and build up to the level of shimmer you want.
You could stop right here and have super pretty, natural holiday makeup looks for the whole season in just three steps. But if you want to glow for more, keep reading Sunshine!
STEP4: HAUTE COCOA
For a more dramatic-to-smoky golden eye, smudge Haute Cocoa, a rich chocolatey matte brown, along the upper lash line. The more you smudge, the smokier the effect will be.
STEP 5: EVERROSE BLUSH
With the Cheek Brush 1F, dust EverRose blush on the apples of your cheeks for a subtle rosy flush.
STEP 6: EVERGLOW HIGHLIGHTER
Finish with a swipe of EverGlow highlighter on top of your cheekbones using the Highlighter Fan Brush 2F for the perfect amount of light-catching payoff.
Again, if this as much makeup as you want for your holiday makeup looks, you’re perfect! If you want to finish your look with mascara and a little lip shine, here’s how to do mascara for beginners and pro-artists the easy way.
STEP 7: FULLY FEATHERED (FULLY OPTIONAL)
Fully Feathered Volumizing Mascara is not your average kids’ play makeup. This is the real deal but thanks to its custom-sized hourglass applicator it’s easier for younger artist’s use. Simply comb the mascara starting from the roots of your lashes up toward the tips. Give the wand a little wiggle while you’re combing to help coat the lashes and set the curl.
STEP 8: FEATHERLIGHT
Featherlight Clear Mascara + Brow Gel is the perfect alternative to regular mascara for beginners thanks to its clear color. Or, use it to set brows by combing in the direction of hair growth for a natural, but tame look.
STEP 9: GLO$$ BALM + 10K SHINE LIP GLOSS
To complete this cute Thanksgiving makeup look, layer your favorite shade of GLO$$ BALM Glossy Lip Balm (we recommend either $ell Out for a clear base or $tocks & Bronze for a golden tint) under a high-shine, mega-cushion 10K Shine Lip Gloss in either Diamond Heist for maximum sparkle or Glow Down to keep the vibe golden.
STEP 10: MICELLAR MAKEUP WIPES
Don't forget to take your makeup off at the end of the day (or Thanksgiving dinner!) before you go to bed. It's easy and gentle with our makeup cleansing wipes soaked in micellar water and infused with calming chamomile and skin-loving vitamins. :)
Remember, no matter how much or little makeup you wear — you are just the way you are. We’re here to help you shine your way and have fun doing it with the best makeup for beginners that’s so much more than pediatrician-approved kids’ makeup. It’s creative expression. It’s art. It’s whatever you want it to be. We hope you have the happiest (and glowiest) holidays!
