Not that we need an excuse to wear all the pink, but if ever there was one it’s Valentine’s Day. With the sheer, shimmering shades from our OG 9021-GLOW! Eye & Cheek Palette, going pink has never been so easy (or pretty).
Ready to get started? Grab your brushes! Today we’re walking you through how to a Valentine’s Day makeup look with all the pink vibes. We’ll be using this Pink Palms Brush Set — how cute are the pink handles(!) — but you can also use the dual-ended brush that comes with every Petite ‘n Pretty makeup palette. You can practice on a free face chart first or jump right in!
STEP 1: FLASHING LIGHTS
Sheer pink with spellbinding sparkle, Flashing Lights is the best eyeshadow for beginners and pink-lovers everywhere. Using the Petite Eye Shader Brush 1E or the eyeshadow side of the dual-ended brush included with every Petite ‘n Pretty makeup palette, blend Flashing Lights in the inner corner of the eye and just above the crease.
STEP 2: POOLSIDE BLING
To give your Valentine’s Day makeup look even pinker pop, blend Poolside Bling, a holographic lavender with (so) extra pink pearl, onto the outer corner of the eye and into the crease with the Crease Blender Brush 2E.
STEP 3: PINK PALMS BLUSH
Next, tap a fluffy cheek brush in Pink Palms and sweep it onto the apples of your cheeks for a pretty yet subtle pink flush. You could stop right here for a pretty Valentine’s Day makeup look in three easy steps. Or, keep reading to take your look to the pinkest level...
STEP 4: BLVD BLING GLITTER
A light dab of Gen Glitter in BLVD Bling is all you need to light up your look with holographic dimension. Use the custom-sized paddle to brush it anywhere you want a little extra wow factor — the cheekbones, bridge of the nose, even in your hair! — than blend with your fingertips for shimmering glitter finish. (Side note: BLVD Bling also makes the GLOSSIEST glitter slime perfect for Galentine’s parties!)
STEP 5: FULLY FEATHERED (FULLY OPTIONAL)
Fully Feathered Volumizing Mascara is not your average kids’ play makeup. This is the real deal but thanks to its custom-sized hourglass applicator it’s easier for younger artists to use. Simply comb the mascara starting from the roots of your lashes up toward the tips. Give the wand a little wiggle while you’re combing to help coat the lashes and set the curl.
STEP 6: FEATHERLIGHT
Featherlight Clear Mascara + Brow Gel is the perfect alternative to regular mascara for beginners thanks to its clear color. Or, use it to set brows by combing in the direction of hair growth for a natural, but tame look.
STEP 7: GIA PINK LIP GLOSS
Of course, it’s not the pinkest Valentine’s Day makeup look without a pink lip! Our go-to is Gia Pink to coat lips with sheer color and subtle sparkle.
STEP 8: CLOUD MINE FRAGRANCE
To finish your Valentine’s Day makeup with a sweet note, we love to add a whiff of Cloud Mine — our signature fragrance with notes of fruity fireworks, fresh-picked flowers and cotton candy musk. Just roll an itty bitty bit over your wrist for the sweetest Valentine’s Day ever!
